Parker & Griffith P.C. | Our Beginnings
Before Parker & Griffith came into being, the firm was started by Larry Pound, who was a sole practitioner. When Larry retired, he sold the practice to Allan Griffith. A short while after Nate graduated from law school, he was in search of a practice that allowed him to maintain a good work-life balance all while allowing him to serve individuals in a more practical way. Nate was introduced to Allan by Nate’s former law professor who thought the pair may be a good fit. Allan and Nate’s similar sense of humor allowed them to become fast friends.
As it turned out, Allan was gearing up to retire from his elder law practice and Nate was eager to get to work. Only nine months after their first meeting, Allan sold his practice to Nate and retired to the east coast with his wife and 2 dogs. Allan and Nate remain good friends. Allan’s contribution to the elder law community continues to be felt in Salem. We hope to carry on Larry and Allan’s legacy by continuing to serve the Salem community for many years to come.
